Why Tapo Doesn't Sell Plastic Packaging — Our Mission, Plain Words

Couple of times a month, someone asks if we can also supply plastic clamshells or PP containers. The answer is no, and here's why — straight.

The choice was made on day one

When we started , the easy path was to sell everything — kraft, plastic, foam, whatever paid the bills. We chose not to. Plastic and foam packaging end up in Malaysian landfills, rivers, and oceans for centuries. Kraft, properly composted, breaks down in months. We didn't want to be another supplier offering everything to everyone; we wanted to be the supplier you go to when you've decided to make the switch.

What this means for customers

If you need plastic for cold drinks or specific applications kraft can't cover (like deep liquid containers), isn't the right supplier — and we'll honestly tell you. But if you're moving to fibre-based packaging, we want to be the easiest, most reliable choice in Malaysia. One mission, one material category. Bungkus baik, bumi senang.
